Just wondering... - by Jarkko Ranta

Summer's coming up here north too and while taking a quick stroll in the nearby thicket ol' good Woodsie Lord popped to my mind:
Half the threads I've taken part I've kept praising the intro in TDP. Near the end of it the third eye opens in the Trickster's forehead - the same as the symbol, right (if I got this one wrong you can laugh me out...) - but does that eye MEAN anything? At first I thought that it was the link between Trickster and the Eye (quite reasonable for a one that has just started to play Thief) but what I've heard the Eye has no connections to that old fur butt. Has anyone found anything reasonable out of this 'beholder-wannabe'.

That "Mind's Eye" sounds reasonable, never thought of that before. Funny LG put something so sophisticated for someone who is so... er... not so sophisticated. Well, it could really spice the Trickser's personality and bring something mysterious to it. Or just look cool.

Yeah, it's not enough to have the tattoo on his forehead, but to have it split open (not even like eyelids), to reveal a huge eyeball that takes up more than half the Trickster's forehead, and then looks around a bit, too!
How much of what we see in the movies and briefings would have actually been implemented in the gameplay if the software was advanced enough?:wot:

If I recall right in Quake (I) the zombies' mesh was animated so that even when they were blown to pieces they continued to open and close their mouths as they wailed (I even thought that some of those bastards were alive 'cause of that noise before I noticed this little trick...)

I think it may have something to do with this:
Constantine:"I've been watching you, Mister Garrett. So closely, in fact, that I'm afraid I'd forgotten we haven't actually met yet".
Guess that prefers more to the maniac laughter in Conastantine's manor (and giggling of Viktoria), when they propably observed Garrett's quest to retrieve the Sword. Dunno if this observing was via magic or "peeping holes" that propably excist all over the place. And Viktoria did say that she found Garrett, not her 'client' (so Con didn't seek out Garrett with his third eye). This may be wrong impression, thou.
