Interesting. I didnt know who Harvey Smith was until the link.
I disliked Invisible Wars and Area 51 quit a bit. I love Karma Star though. :)

Harvey Smith is a hack. In addition to Invisible War he's also responsible for the thoroughly terrible Blacksite: Area 51. He tried to make that game into some sort of political statement to be "super fucking subversive" but his game sucked and he's an asshole and I hope he's hit by a car.
Have you listened to has masterclass interview? That was done before Area 51 was released, and yet even when he's trying to talk the game up, it's pretty obvious that he just isn't very interested in the game.
The guy was only put on the game because the project was in trouble, even though he obviously didn't have any particular interest in the game. I think it's a bit rough to blame all the game's problem on Harvey, given the circumstances under which he took control of the project.
Having said that, it's true that 2 out of 3 of his AAA games are poor quality in one way or another. But three is hardly a big sample, and you can look at both IW and Area 51 and make excuses for him. It will be interesting to see how good his future games are.
