Is that not basicly what the Keepers are? They're assasins told to go after whoever the Keepers want them to. Of course Garrett would still be a rebel. He'd most likely do merc jobs for paying clients as well;)

Perhaps the level designers were simply lazy and under heavy time constraints (most likely) so they just had the keeper enforcers slaughter everyone in their path, including the betrayer.
I do agree that it should have been done differently.
Perhaps have the enforcers have light gems, have them ignore bystanders... etc, etc...

It would have been fantastic if the Enforcers had been the like Keepers in Equilibrium.

He put it so much more nicely than I did... I'm lax due to real-life stresses - roommate, apartment and work-related issues.
Thankfully I still have my looks and charm, right?

Maybe their just overestimated. Because there are so many Enforcers Orland may have assumed they'd catch Garrett no matter what. No one ever said Orland was very bright.
Does anyone else wonder that if Garrett would have continued into becomming a Keeper, he would have chose to be an Enforcer? I just can't see Garrett going 'the profecies this, and glyhps that...'.
Garrett decided against having the ceromony making him a Keeper, he was pretty much able to become one at the time. And once you become a Keeper you can't become an Enforcer, and vice versa
