Ahh the memories. How many alpha and beta versions of each beast of a mission at DL'd at 2kbps?? How many times did I fall off a very tall building to my untimely death while puking my guts out? How many bent guard helms did the smith have to mend after 'ol Garrett stopped by? How many AI vs. AI battles does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? How many audio takes does it take to complete a (wait a minute while I check....) 156 page script? (yes I still have it.) Can I still recite the closing monologue to Megatfree word for word? You bet. It was a grand adventure.

I have no doubt, some work on FM's stick in your mind, more than others SlyFoxx. This is one I'm sure you'll never forget, and you didn't! You did a bang up job. :)

The driver of the pickup was okay, but when Sue and Jenny were walking back to their car, a Ford Explorer spun out and sent them flying into a stone wall. Sue spent a week in the ICU and survived. Jenny died on the way to the hospital. 24 years later, people still remember her, and for some reason, that seems to help.
HFS!! :wot: :o
Dude, I am so sorry. Don't know how I missed this but I have been away from the ttlg forums a lot over the last couple of decades.
I can't even imagine.. I think my heart would break and stop on the spot. It's one thing to read about tragedies, getting caught up in the emotions. But wow. I'm glad you're doing well.

@ BA...It was my honor and my pleasure. Lots of seriously cool stuff for me to do these last twenty years.

And we're so glad you did for the past 20 years Sly. :)

I remember I played this back in 2018 and I just hated it.
I was expecting something good but everything just felt way too un-Thief like, way too much exposition, a bad attempt at "revolutionizing" gameplay (like in Mission 2), timed missions...And worst of all, extremely spacy locations.
And to make matters worse, this is a bit personal and real life too so spoilers, I think that same year was the year when a famous female Thief playing and voice actress died, MsLedd. When I played the game and heard her voice I felt melancholic, especially after beating the amazing campaign that is The Black Frog.
But I just can't stop thinking, maybe I started with the wrong foot? I remember it was a cold day, loved it, was also night, made it even better...But the mission just felt like a chore for me and after I finally reached, I think it was 4 or 5, well I just lost my patience.
And yet again here I am, I always think of this campaign, I feel like I lost something here, maybe things will be different now despite the fact I am not any different at all.
I really should give this campaign a try again, when it's winter and cold I'll make sure I (re)play this campaign.
Also, the information about Frobber's real life situations do add up to the campaign itself, very interesting...
On another note, it's so weird, I am not a Thief veteran per se, many here are way older than me, be it age or years of playing Thief.
I think I just really regret not playing Thief much, much earlier.
Also, yes, I'd also like to give a big thanks to SlyFoxx as well, great voice acting as Garrett.
