If Ken Levine is not involved in Bioshock 2 then there may be hope yet.

All signs point to Bioshock 2 being more of the same, but worse.

I will probably buy it anyway.

I'm curious to see what sorts of scary shit Jordan is able to coax from his new team. I can sympathize with everyone who is skeptical about the gameplay, but I have a hard time believing that the game won't scare me shitless.

Yea, cus Bioshock was such a horrible game.
How dare he continue making games, he should die for what he has done to the industry the fucking cheap hack.

Aside from The Cradle, what other "scary" things Jordan Thomas did? I know he did Fort Frolic (which had a very interesting twist, but was not scary), but I don't know anything else from him.
By the way, I think the real genius about The Cradle was not the level itself, but it's position inside the missions set. I found the first part of The Cradle "scary" because this level happened when I was getting comfortable with Thief's levels. The first part of this level was different, I didn't know what to expect, so this lead to anxiety (mainly because I don't save in the middle of a level). A second level like The Cradle would have been simply boring... And this is a big problem for BioShock 2 : As I know Jordan Thomas works on the game, if I see a level looking like having his "touch", I will know what to expect and I won't find it scary.

That sounds like a personal problem.
