A few times, probably nestled in among "What are you playing NOW?" etc... type threads, so easily overlooked I guess.

Yup, Kentucky Route Zero is great. Amazing art direction, fantastic writing. The wait between episodes is hard, because you know it'll be delayed, but even if they never make another episode it'll have been worth it for the first two IMO.

Just wanted to say that I wholeheartedly approve of this game and that everyone who possesses a soul should be required by law to play it.

One thing to note, perhaps: anyone playing this should *not* expect a puzzle-heavy adventure game. KRZ is most decidedly not a game that's about beating puzzles and winning, even less so than, say, The Walking Dead. It's almost entirely about exploring its world, locations and characters.

Check out Dream too.
Will do. I watched the trailer and yep, it's on my list.
I'm super pleased at all these indie games that are coming out.
I realise that I'm often a grumpy and argumentative so and so who just doesn't get people's problem with many games I like (looking at you and Dear Ester dethwub).
But the truth is, you guys have awesome taste. Yeah, I don't see eye to eye with you all all of the time on games (hello BioShock) but when it comes down to it there is a reason we're all here - LGS games. Somehow, despite having many differences, this is the only place where I can get good game recommendations and that's down to the TTLGKru on the whole being frakking awesome.
I should have been in that adventure game thread, but then that Gumbardo (whatever) twit was all up in there so I'm kind of glad I missed it.

i don't know what's worse -- that you can't understand why someone wouldn't like dear esther (and I don't mean simple "i wanted to shoot niggas not read" idiocy) or that you call me dethwub
The only thing stopping The Last Of Us from being my #1 of the year is Kentucky Route Zero. I really can't get over how subtly brilliant and emotional it is.

Come on dethy, where's the love? I don't mind if you don't like it, it's your reason for it that I disagree with.
I was only kidding anyway. Just a friendly poke. Don't be so touchy!

Just an FYI on Dream, I've been interested in this game for a little bit, and decided to take the "Early Access" plunge recently. This game is still really rough. I had major framerate issues in the very small opening area, and then when I try to progress beyond that, the game crashes on me every time.
My PC is about 4 years old, but it still meets the "Recommended" specs on the Steam page, so that shouldn't be what's causing problems. I lowered my res significantly too, and same issue. Might want to wait a bit on this one, I'm considering contacting Steam for a refund.

So I played through act 1+2, and I gotta say after all the praise from here I was somewhat underwhelmed. Visually the game is amazing, but the surrealism of the dialogue and story just didnt click with me for some reason. Not saying I hated it though, definitely a solid 8/10.
