He follows the intenerary and returns to his rooms and stays there. The level makes no difference that I have noticed.

He goes to site 2 first, and I went there first, and waited around, got rid of all the guards, but the green light wasn't on, and I was feeling a bit stupid so I didn't understand what I was supposed to do.
Then this procession of three people walked through, and so I kept trying to think of new elaborate ways to get rid of them. Until I realised that the one in the middle was Cavador himself!
So I didn't actually need to go to half of the level. Though admittedly getting past some of the other sites with Cavador's body was hard. I tried so many different ways. Eventually got it, though, but only through the use of invisibility potion! (Ah, the wonders of invisibility potion!)

I've been to all the sites and still haven't come across Cavador...was passing by Site 6 and noticed the green light was not lit. I don't know why. I had been there earlier and got the drill, arrows and potion. Any suggestions as to what I should do. Thanks for your help.

His office and living quarters are Site 5. If you look around as you go, he travels with three guards, and looks like he has a beer can stuck in his mouth.
So you may have BJd him unknowingly. Happens all the time. So anyone who looks like they have a gasmask on is a good person to check out.

Don't read any scrolls and such to find him in site #5. He is in his quarters which is on a higher level. You know you're there when you see a security camera guarding the large double doors.
Cavador wears different clothes than the other Mechanists. His helmet is bronze/gold if I remember correctly.

HA!! :laff:
That would have been an interesting sight for the mechanists, after all we can only assume the potion only makes Garrett invisible, not everything he touches. I wonder how they would have reacted to seeing Cavador's slumped body floating through the site.
"Ahh look friends! Here comes Brother Cavador, and he's doing his old levetating through the mines trick again!"

Mechanist 1 to Mechanist 2: "Damn, that Burrick gas must've been too much for poor Cavador"

:laff: Actually, it seems like Cavador goes completely invisible, just like Garrett's blackjack, when you drink the invisibility potion. Try it with the blackjack equipped, it just vanished. :weird: Always found that a bit strange. I mean, if you can just touch something and it turns invisible, what about the ground?

The only thing that I personally like to do during the Mission "Kidnap" is mess up and cause a ruckus. It is, unfortunately, one of my least favorite levels in either game. It is big, confusing, armed to the tooth and time consuming, but not in as entertaining a way as the rest of the game/s. Of course my opinion is highly subjective, but I never liked "The Lost City" either, never felt it fit with the other levels and I hate  fire elementals. Ya want my advice? Just knock everybody out, you'll find Cavador eventually.

Speaking of "drills"......what are you supposed to do with them anyway???
