ok I'm resurrecting a thread from 5 years ago, but due to the upcoming release of A Servant's Life I felt the need to post a reply.
I don't have a problem with being more tolerant towards the wimpy servant. It would be nice if the wimpy servant would start acting like a man and stop asking a rat for protection. He himself has placed himself lower than the rat (I know it is a game limitation) and maybe he should go take some self defense classes.
I never had a problem with the servants while playing Thief 1 and 2 because I always managed to BJ them before they could say or do anything. The first time I heard him say "I saw an intruder. Protect me." I thought 'what did he just say?' That particular moment while making A Love Story II drove me nuts, and he became one with my BJ. While watch Popeye as a kid I never rooted for Bluto, but sadly this servant will never be able to pop open a can of spinich and bounce Garrett to the moon. :)

oh holy crap, i LOOOOOOVVVVEEE torturing the royals!! ive actually counted once during my fav OM "Life of the Party", 34 different ways i found to kill a wussy little whiny bitch noble. i dont mess with the servants, mostly, i do sympathise with em. and i dont torture em cuz im homophobic, i just think that the rich assweeds deserve it. HAHAHAAAA!! REVENGE OF THE LOW CLASS!! :ebil: :ebil: ahh, the simple pleasures of sadistically torturing the upper-crust. course, im f&*^ed up anyways, so i kinda enjoy torturing people. PEOPLE, not animals, i would cut my own throat before seriously harming any animal, but a human on the other hand, id do it if "the price was right." :sly: :ebil:

When quick-playing Ambush! in Normal difficulty to hear all the scripted conversations an idea came as a shock to me:
"Hey, the objectives allows killing people. If I remember right there was a sleeping servant in some of the houses near the Garrett's."
Stabbed her to death. No 'Mission Failed'.
"Man..."
Later I was brutally slayed by a group of City Watch when playing Erroll Flynn with them. Moral victory!
PS. Can Ramirez be killed with any of the difficulties without failing the mission (well, Garrett could take the purse from a corpse...). I never bothered to try and have regretted it many times. Could it also cause trouble in Thief continuity (he is/was a City Warden anyway).

Man you and Vincent 21 would have some awesome conversations. Just out of interest where did the homophobic thing come from? I'm just kidding around, but when you just randomly bring up things like that it's a bit of a situation where "if the shoe fits...".
