I never got around to finishing KotOR, and never even bought the sequel. I was having fun w/it and all, but I was playing on PC and it felt like it would have been much more fun on the couch w/a controller. I was thinking of getting a used version for my old XBOX and giving it a go.
Great graphics and sound, decent story(admittedly I am not the world's biggest Star Wars fan), fairly likeable & believable characters. Some of the missions were rather generic, and the combat got a bit monotonous. I am still willing to go back and try ti finish it again, though.

I recently finished KOTOR 2. A very good game, though the first part is plain boring. It picks up when you get to Telos' surface, and goes on better. But there's so much items it's ridiculous, by the end of the game, you could effectively open up shop. And by that very end, you get to such a ridiculous level (about level 24-25.), that there's nothing that can stop you much more than a few seconds (and there's force storm, which ends the fight before it began), other than the end boss and Mira's one-on-ones. Hopefully, they got to record a few more lines for the aliens, just so you don't get the feeling that you're on a three sentences loop. The companions are nice, but ultimately, not that useful.

KOTOR2 was ridiculously awesome until the last few minutes. I'm looking forward to seeing what the restored endings are like.

I adored JK2's multiplayer - no internet connection at the time mind you, so I was playing bots all the time. They were fairly decent though.

It's a shame the next JK-style game is being made by a completely different team, not coming out on PC and going to be utter balls. I guess Raven are too busy with Return to Castle Wolfenstein 2.

If you liked KOTOR you should love Mass Effect.
It's KOTOR on steroids ffs.
