[SPOILER]Once you found the lockpicks in the secret room which is actioned by the ink pot, I seem to remember picking the locks of the chests. Do you mean the chest where the chalice is located. Will have a look later[/SPOILER].

Thanks for trying to help... I figured it out anyway on my own - I just didn't have the right key set up as use... :tsktsk: sometimes I worry about myself.

I've just replayed this FM, and found that one can break the logic of objectives order, if he/she finds a Loremel (sp?) mirror before objective says to do it. It's possible to enter the room with zombie and mirror from the second floor by destroying the big crates with dagger. Don't enter there that way!

Ouch, the most problems I had while designing this fm was objectives that made the level unfinishable especially when the player goes out of sequence. Whenever I get around to it I should make the objectives less linear & if the player goes out of sequence you can still finish the level.

ascottk, I think the other objectives (at least those that take place in the mansion) work fine, I couldn't break them, I tried :) But this first one can be acomplished before time, but even that's a rare case. I doubt too many people will see the crates in the darkness and try to destroy them with a knife :)
I hope you'll make another big FM in the feature.
PS: found 100% of loot this time, and another secret shortcut between entry hall and room with plant of rejuvenation :)

Trying to get through the floaty maze thingy and am completely frustrated... especially since at one point I wound up at the beginning ... any hints?

Look for glyphs that are different from others :)
+ there is another way to the Krellek's area. Read a scroll that Laremel left for you after you read "the unbinding ritual", she mentioned "another two doors". You'll find the experimental rope arrow if you'll go that way, but it requires more skills than the first way ;)

Hello, first time here.
Ok, I'm stuck again (Scott was kind enough to de-stuck me via email and pointed me here).
Stupid question first: what's a frob? Meaning right-click or "use"?

Did the chalice and everlasting fires bit. Went to the Mage's chamber NE, they disappeared in a flash. Went to the dining room, south wall, activated the painting, got the fire arrow.
Transporting doorways are now gone, go into the revealed passageway, find a hidden door which supposedly has switches to open other doors.
I can't select it or open it... :(

The door is there, I also coudn't find it right away, it's relatively easy to overlook. Also, that corridor transforms itself, so maybe the secret door appears after transformation. Anyway, wander there and frob the walls methodically. Frobbing as the same as right-clicking.
