I reloaded and replayed to that point but my frobbing the door didn't result in the transporting walls disappearing. I was still transported around the western sector of the ground floor. I assume the transporting walls you referred to in the walkthrough are those that are the transporting walls over in the west section of the ground floor. Those are the only two transporting walls I could find. Unless you meant the ones that the three mages were behind. When you say "the furthest eastern hall" I assume you mean the one with the big hammer on the ground floor. I could find no secret doors there after frobbing the door where the three mages are located. The only thing I was able to do is go in and the mages vanished.
What am I missing? :grr:
Thank you.
You're not missing anything because I have a lousy sense of direction it's even worse when there's no sense of direction on a computer :erg: I just fixed the walk-through because:
the door is in the northwest room on the south wall.
Sorry about the confusion
EDIT:
One of Laremel's notes points you in the wrong direction
Another thing to fix. Good thing too . . .

Zonian,
After the three mages disappear return to the room with stairs that lead up to the big library upstairs. On the wall oposite the door leading down to the basement (dining hall, whatever) there is a square on the wall to frob. This will open all those annoying little doorways. Go to the nearest one and follow the righthand wall until you come to another frobbable area. Behind this is a switch. Returnto the original place with the stairs, and there will be a doorway with water and stones etc.
If you manage to do this please let me know of your technique as I am completely stuck. I did the bit with Krellek but that is last so could not get back.
Mary.
So you've killed Krellek already? In that case, there should be a floating manuscript just outside the generator room. The floating scripts can be a little easy to miss, and I did first time through. Complete what it says and that should end the mission.
Note that there are two doors to the main hall which open once you've found the hidden door in the corridor - the other is in the room with the wall display sections. You can only go via one or the other, so take a save and try both.
Well than you Glas Wolf
Loaded up the save
after Krellek electrocuted himself. Had a look round and went to the upper floor of the chamber. Eventually found myself in the room with the three mages. Read the the note Shot the two fire arrows I had at one of the coils. That did it. Read the floating note, went back and finished off. Completed. I did not need to go over the water, was that a red herring? or just an alternative way. :D
There are two doors leading to the chamber from the main part of the house, and you can go IN either way but can't exit through either. (Well apparently you can exit
the sideways room using the gloves, but I don't think you can get out the other way past the platforms. Did you enter the chamber using the gloves or the platforms?Lord Soth: try (

GlasWolf,
Couln't do the stones so went down the lop sided passage got the gloves, climbed up, and down by the wonky staircase into the throne room. Did the necessary there and couldn't get back the way I came. Thanks to your hint, found a staircase to the first floor balcony, and from there found the three Mages. Did the necessary there and returned to the throne room to finish off. BYpassed the stones and the maze.
:thumb:
Hey, where's the entrance to the chamber via the lopsided stair? I went by the platforms and never found the entrance via the stair.

If you are positioned in front of the stones door, turn around 180 degrees walk forward then left towards those shelves with objects on them then left. You will find a narrow passage with a black and white floor. Go down there dodging the sliding objects until you come to an opening with a sheer drop. There are some things to jump down onto on the left side. The things you need to find are the climbing gloves. they are through those arch shaped holes at the bottom of this room, with a zombie. Once you are on the ground look down these gaps, there are about five, until you see the gloves, although it is dark they will be twinkling. Jump down and get them. Now you can climb up the wall in Deadly Shadows fashion. Climb up past the gaps right to the top of the room and to the right. There you will find the stairs although you cannot use them. Work your way down in your own way. This will lead to the throne room.
