Well , I tried and tried to use the rope arrows after saving but no dice! So I guess I'm stuck down below with the zombie for good ! Surely, though, from the threads I've read others have found climbing gloves to use? Thanks again for any comments.

Climbing gloves were replaced by the rope arrow in the latest version.
The trick of the rope arrows is that they only allow climbing on 2 sides of them, and you have to be straight on to those sides. It takes a bit of practice but they are workable....keep saving as well.

Thanks once again for the replies.Sorry to be a pain but can you please explain the reply 'There's no key assigned to rope arrows in the game, so you have to use the next/previous weapon keys to access them.' I tried installing the Minimalist Project too to see whether it would help at this point but the game bombed out to desktop when I tried to pick up the rope arrows (5) so I uninstalled the MP stuff. As I said , when I pick up the arrows I get a blue explanation screen telling me how to use them.When I click ok I'm left with 5 rope arrows on the screen for a few seconds which then disappears and I'm then unable to find them anywhere.On another note, when playing Krellek's Labyrinth I got a loud metalic humming noise at the bit near the sleeper's rooms.I thought this was part of the game but I'm getting the same thing only louder during bits of Lord Raven's Mansion. Maybe it's my laptop but I don't think so as I didn't have it on the original game.Has anyone else experienced this and is there a way round it? Thanks again.
