Anyway it's not like it's just TTLG fizzling out. Did you see the other thread on people's other forums? Every forum out there is either turning into a shell of its former self or a faceless wall for the masses to throw spaghetti at and see what sticks. Maybe the era of community had its day and it was fun while it lasted. Maybe it'll make a comeback. People will still be posting here anyway.

You hold him for even more irresponsible than I did. I should hope he hasn't left without finding a willing successor, considering all the other admins are missing in action as well. If he did, people won't be posting here for long, because sooner or later stuff will break that's more than just inconvenient and that will be that.

I don't know what GBM has or hasn't done so I don't have an opinion. He's been doing this for a long time so I think he'd have good intuitions about it, but it also looks like he wanted to get out of Dodge with a quickness, and when people want to jump ship that badly, usually the merciful thing to do is let them.
But anyway this isn't like the medieval era where if there's an issue over succession the whole country goes up in flames. I'm sure if Ulu's not up to it there will be stuff going on behind the scenes to get in somebody who's willing and able and the right person and get them up to speed. This is a pretty laid back forum so I think it's flexible enough to deal with a little transition.

- as long as there are games and I still play them I will be coming to this site for info and opinions on such. However thats pretty much what this site will become I think, community chat is dead, it'll just be gengaming. To be honest, I dont think its fair to expect guys like GBM and Dave to have to maintain and run ttlg when they arent even involved or engaged with it anymore (as sad as that makes me).
Kinda weird, cos I am going through/making some prettty big life changes atm, it does have an odd synchronicity about it with this happening here as well.
Things will never be the same as they were again, and I dont think we should expect them to be.
Time to move on.

Everyone who has been here since the Deadly days and earlier was at the right place at the right time. I would always look back on this place if it went extinct with many many fond memories. And GBM was a huge part of the early days. Here's another favorite of mine.
