I'm in my apartment again; I can hear birds chirping, so I climb the stairs to the roof. It's sunny outside, but I only a see a single bird, flapping its wings off in the distance. I can't reach it, so I climb back down to the ground floor, past the teddy bear and the squealing television and the stacks of empty bird cages -- I've been there already -- to a pleasant courtyard, with only one way out. I step into the tunnel, as I have dozens of times before, and as my vision begins to fade I am struck by a new sense of time and place --
I'm in a field, dotted sparsely with small trees. I move south, toward the bluffs, toward the passageway that has yet allow my exploration. I approach the entrance, bracing for the sudden revival, to be torn from my dream as I have so frequently when I get this close, but somehow I am allowed to continue, swallowed into the darkness as my vision once again is washed clean to white
to a dark night, in a quiet city by the docks. The music is gone, though I still the hear the drone of streetlamps, the abrupt patter of my own footsteps, and the gentle splash of water caressing the shoreline. I am strangely uneasy in this eerie place, so I head for shelter in a warehouse nearby. The door is open, and I enter cautiously . I walk slowly to the back of the building, though it appears empty. I feel no safer here than outside, and as I turn to leave I notice a marking on the floor -- the white silhouette of a man, punctuated with red where his chest must have been, a murder. I run blindly from the building, stumbling toward any possible way out of this terrible place, and when I notice the dark outline of solitary man, standing silently beneath a streetlight
I wake up.

I once had the universe poor all of the answers to the most important and fundimental questions right into my head. The answers came out of my ears and mouth, breaking into some weird glowing alphabet that I could somehow read and comprehend.
Sadly the alphabet slid down my body, finally falling to the ground and disappearing as I began to forget everything I'd learned.
True Story.
That's certainly worth checking out.
Check your box MR. Hofmann.

Those interested would be well-advised to assimilate (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103624) this thread before the download link becomes active sometime tomorrow (upload is slow and glitchy here).
Or else get yourself a good modded PSP.

I found out about this game not too long ago when browsing Hardcore Gaming 101's forums. Interesting stuff.
(
http://forums.selectbutton.net/viewtopic.php?t=3347) Here's a thread on another forum with more detail on the game.
And speaking of modded PSPs, I just ordered a nice PSP Slim two days ago (though it hasn't arrived yet and it probably isn't modded; I'm definitely going to need a Pandora/tool battery or something that can make one), and was wondering if the PS1 emulator is highly configurable as far as controls are concerned (mainly the shoulder buttons). In the case of LSD, I'd probably want the shoulder buttons to be L2 and R2 for strafing, while the analog stick handles L1 and R1 for looking around.

A modded PSP uses the same PSX configuration options as when you download official PSX games from the Playstation store, which means you get multiple control configurations and several display variations. That, and the emulation is flawless.

Did any of those who PM'd me actually play the game?
The rest of you are missing out on a memorable experience.

Yes, and it's brilliant. I need to get a gamepad though to dive a little deeper. I'll add more later.
Thanks again..:thumb:

I tried to use PCSX in Ubuntu and I couldn't figure out how to get it to work even though it looks simple enough. All of the configuration options seem permanently greyed out.
I've had a pretty nuts weekend, but I've got time to get it working now. :)

Neb, you need to find custom plugins for ePSXe, the default ones are really crappy. I dont have any links for linux plugins though, sorry.

I put the game on my psp today. Definitely has charm, my favourite area has to be the creepy dock district Aja described in the first post. The only thing that really bugs me are the footsteps, way too loud.
The thing is quite deceptive. Once you think you've seen most of it, new elements appear, changed, "glitchy" versions of familiar locales, new "characters" etc. The most vivid thing I experienced was finding myself in the usually boring grasslands area, only this time there was ethereal pink fog covering it, and a herd of pink horses ran by. For some reason, I was really moved
For the past few dreams a guy with a hat started stalking me. When I approached him, the screen flashed and he was gone. Can't be anything good.
I'm also loving some of the videos in the game, just found out the music in them is by Ken Ishii, heard his stuff before, the clip to Extra must be one of my favorite music videos.
