Well, then Bethesda needs to take the money they make from Oblivion to fund coups in all those countries so they can install governments that will repeal such laws, increasing immersion in TES5 :D

Call me dumb, but I've never really understood why games can't have children in them. Is it because of morals?...if it is, then I find something wrong with this whole system.
:(

It's because, for some reason, killing innocent children is seen as a much greater crime than killing innocent adults/old ladies/doggies/whatever. So they could put children in the game, but they don't want to break the game's immersion by making them unkillable, so they just don't put them in at all - personally, I'd much rather have unkillable children than none at all, since I would never bother trying to kill them anyway (my character is a nice guy). It's weird that they base teh game design around the idea that you'll want to kill every single NPC...

Then how did DX get 'em in?

...or every other game that has them?

Just thinking about Deus Ex having children in, and some other games (Neverwinter Nights...and the invincible girl).
Game develepors always boast about realism and real breathing worlds in their games and yet they always seem to forget little things...such as children. :p

Maybe it's something to do with game developers having less children themselves than the average american? Probably not much of a reason, but it's possible that this has an influence. I mean, for most guys 25-35, kids aren't really part of their worlds - they can go long periods of time without even seeing one!

Children are creepy ala F.E.A.R. and Thief 3...

M'aiq may have something to say about children. If you can catch up with him that is.
