Specs plz or gtfo.
Has anyone ever told you that you're a dick?
Anyway, my specs are: E8600 (oc'ed, although since my machine is at home I can't tell you how much), Geforce GTX 260 (again, oc'ed), 4GB RAM, running under Win XP. Might be the setup, although I would have thought that with the most recent Nvidia drivers I should have PhysX support activated. Might be wrong on that one.

Jesus fucking Christ, it was a joke. Not even a subtle deadpan one at that.

Hmmm, I don't see why PhysX should incur a big performance hit either for a speedy card like that. I should be getting a GTX275 OC'ed tomorrow, I might retire my 9800GT to dedicated PhysX processor duty (the consolation of having a Crossfire mobo that can't be utilised cuz one is running Nvidia cards) if I need a larger PSU as a result of the new GPU.

Okay, sorry for biting your head off. But you have to admit, there's enough behaviour like that on TTLG that isn't meant as a joke.

I'm wondering whether I haven't got it properly activated - although if it wasn't, I doubt I'd even get the PhysX option in
Mirror's Edge. It's really okay for cloth/fabric simulation, but it's the glass shards that bring the system to what feels like 5fps... and in
Mirror's Edge that is completely unplayable. Even once I deactivated Vsync and turned AA down a notch I'd still get framerates around 10fps the moment the SWAT team started shooting the glass panes.

Also- the "PC version" of Silent Hill 1 you can find on various torrent sites is a tweaked ePSXe emulator with one majour flaw- it uses the gimped European version that is not only harder but also less scary. I'm not sure if you can swap out the ISO with a Yank version... will have to experiment.
You can.
Hmm what is the difference?
I still need to play that actually - I am guessing sh1 is better then on pc but sometime around I will need to get a ps2 for the others? Unless the pc versions are not cackhanded ports - which is usually the case?

Midwich Elementary - the ghost children with knives were replaced with the bear things that hump your legs. That's all that I know, aside from the game naturally running slightly slower because it's 50Hz PAL.

You missed the point that L4D is designed for
4-player.
No i didn't. I did say it wouldn't be impossible to balance it otherwise (like making 2-player a possibility), dethtroll or someone else claimed it would be impossible to balance the game that way no matter what, and especially since it had a "4" in the title, lol.

I think you'll find that we claimed it was a design philosophy rather than technical challenge, you decided to start using personal insults, then the mods stepped in to halt it. Given that last point, I don't think bringing it up again is too helpful.

It was a design choice since the game indeed is 4 player, duh. And you claimed no matter how you would rebalance the game it would be possible to create a 2-player mode, which is retarded. I didn't use any personal insults, that usually comes from the deth-troll (he tried some lame "huhuh you're gay, you wanna play 2 player with your butt friend huhuhu"), which of course, was expected from you people when you have no real arguments. All i said was that the "arguments" you had were retarded, and i still stand by that since you couldnt prove me otherwise and you started with personal insults instead. The mods never stepped in either.

Uh, yes they did. Which is precisely why I'm not going to risk them doing it again by replying.
