Damn, the 2 hours I spent with it were over much too soon. I envy you. It stomps a mudhole in the first game.
Yes it does, I'm having trouble putting it down, whereas with AC 1 I had trouble picking it up, HAH!
:D
Funny thing is, it's basically the same game with some much needed changes and additions (because a lot of the old problems are still there). Interesting, eh?
Truth be told, biggest improvement in my opinion? Mission structure: go on and tackle only story missions or faff about with the collectibles/side-missions/Villa, and there's much faffing about to do. Yet it -rarely- feels arbitrary or useless (*cough* AC1 flag hunting *cough*). There are even two side-missions that appear to have some significance with the plot, even if briefly, dunno.
Mind you, treasure hunting is -almost- made useless due to the fact that once you fully upgrade your Villa you'll be getting an unlimited flow of cash (at 20 minutes per deposit). The only slight downside is A)the Villa's coffers (or chest in this case) has limited room for $, though it expands as your fortunes expand, and B)you have to go to the Villa to get your $ (your allowance, as I like to call it ;)).
Great game, great game.

ESET SmartSecurity suite 2-year license
The low resource usage + having NOD32 built-in makes it worth this premium. It's one of the very few security suites with full Win x64 support. It's pretty shocking how notable "big players" in the software security industry like Kapersky are still lacking in this department, especially we've seen two commercial x64 versions of Windows (Vista + W7).
Civilisation 4 Complete
From GoG.com:-
Settlers 2 Gold + Settlers 5: Heritage of Kings
In Cold Blood

Windows XP has a 64-bit version.
I have been itching to get Civ 4 Complete. I dunno, I have just been hearing great stuff about the extras (expansions and such) and since I never got around to buying the original game, I have no excuse for not getting this awesome package. I haven't played a Civ game since Civ 3, so hopefully it is enjoyable.
What is In Cold Blood? Sounds familiar.

It was OEM only though and had nowhere near the driver support of Vista x64. As long as you had all of your device drivers, it was a very good OS, it ran smoother than XP 32 SP2.

I bought it because it was cheap. I haven't played a Civ since the very first one. Civ1 was a wicked game.

GoG.com posted a (

OH YEAH, I forgot all about that game. I have a pirated copy of it from YEARS ago. I wanted to check it out, but was hopelessly stuck 5 minutes into it, and gave up after trying and trying to figure out how to progress.

I just splurged on a few cheap games:
The Saboteur
Velvet Assassin
Fuel
Section 8
Full Spectrum Warrior
I have... modest hopes for some of those, but I think they'll be worth what I paid for them.
I appear to have a "Shogun 2: Total War preview disc" included. Into the DVD drive it goes... hmm... trailers, screenshots, concept art, fact sheet, developer Q&A, and a pointer to the web site.

I'm surprised that you bought these, since they use GfWL and you dislike DRM. Most GfWL keys expire after 15 online activations and there's no revokes (some are tied to your Live Gamertag, like how a Steamworks game would be to specific Steam account. Very few games use this implementation of GfWL keys, Dirt 2 is one of them, IIRC. Maybe the new F1 2010 as well.) You have to phone MS support and convince them to issue you a new key.
On the plus side, GfWL keys with limited activations are game agnostic, so you can use them with pretty much any other GfWL title that uses this type of key (which is most of them, as mentioned previously).
