The (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66897) old thread was a little too musty for resurrection so I figured a fresh start was preferable.

My reasoning for bringing this back is that the best of 08 album thread or occasional music masturbation exercises doesn't really offer enough breathing space for all the music-afficiandos to air their thoughts on what they're hearing and seeing - also, live is a whole 'nother side of your favourite bands and it's interesting to hear whether they are good or bad.

Plus, for me, I rarely go to gigs because I don't typically keep abreast of the changing face of the music scene but I'm keen to make more of an effort.

last gig
Interpol last night on their Our Love To Admire tour. Great night, though I found a certain chunk of their performances of the new tracks sounded really off, it was either the mixing or (perhaps) my realisation that they are a little overproduced on the album. There was a solid mix of Antics and Bright Lights in the setlist, which got the crowd going.

next gig

Broken Social Scene and Stars are playing locally next week, trying to drum up interest from anyone to go along - I've never been to a gig on my own. :(
