Okay, here's the deal.
EM are 100% dedicated to Deus Ex: HR right now, so there will be no details of the new Thief game at this year's E3.

Announcing the in-development project so early was the GM's decision and was related to recruitment as you all probably know. EM apologise, but all they can say/request to the fans is to please continue to wait patiently.

In a final statement, it was said "Thief 4 is looking awesome". :cool:
So I think the wait will be worth it in the end, my taffers and tafferettes. :)

We are not likely to receive any details until "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" is completely finished and in the shops. So, we need to remain patient for a while yet.

so after a year in which the only news is that they've hired a developer team and they've picked a good company/person to handle the sound the official stance is we aren't going to tell you anything about the actual game for a long, long time

Indeed, what a pointless thread. But one must simply calm his enthusiasm about the game and just smile at knowing it's going to happen (unless it falls out or sthin). After all, hyping about something not released yet is stealing the hype from when it's actually there.
A year longer or not, doesn't make much difference. It's no Duke Nukem Forever. (last I heard it was cancelled, so for me, who never cared any bit about that game, it became a sad joke where I facepalm and laugh altogether)

It's good for someone to express his frustration though. Thank you Esme.

My only real question is: If there were never going be any honest details (or news of any substance) released along the way or anytime soon, why did Eidos (or whatever the fuck they are now) create a Thief 4 messageboard at this point in time?
