I have downloaded the latest version of Tafferpatcher and followed per instructions. It works fine, but none of the movies run? The instructions don't say anything about the movies not running?
Can anybody give an answer to the problem?

A reboot didn't help. Movies still are not playing. Is it in the CFG file, path, maybe? The CFG doesn't have anything other than C:\ for the paths. There is no D:\ (for disc) anywhere in the paths so it should run the movies from the hard drive, shouldn't it?
I've tried everything I can think of, save dropping the Thief (.dll) file into T2? That probably wouldn't work anyhow?
Everything else works fine.
Thief/ThiefGold works like a dream. It's great to be able to replay these missions!

Do your Thief Gold movies work? And, what loader are you using? Fm-Select?

Thief Gold movies play, everything works fine with it.
T2 works except for movies playing.
I am using NO LOADER yet. I haven't set up a FM loader, until I know that T2 is working properly. But I will be using FM-/Select once I get it figured out.:)

If this is the straight T2, before messing with it, e.i. FM installers, mods and stuff... sounds like you're missing the movie codecs. Here's the link (

If his movies work correctly in TG, he probably already has the right codecs.

That's true:tsktsk: I had this same problem years ago (and several computers ago) Vista I think. I hated vista, what didn't work with it! Hard for me to give advice though as the problem self-corrected one day. Maybe that'll happen to you too:cheeky:

I don't have movies in either T2 or TG. But I don't play them any more so it doesn't bother me. I imagine they didn't get installed from disc unless they're hiding somewhere. FM movies work fine.
