Ubi DRM double fail? I just spotted what appears to be a multiplayer crack for SCC. Yes, one that allows you to play on ubi's service and use Uplay (whatever that is). People say it works. I mean this is ... wow. :) Ubi will likely do something about it, so it probably won't last long, but still... serious fail.

LOL, I love it. That is great. Crackers are heroes in this case, I guess!!!

Only for science.

The goal of ubi was not to stop pirates, but inconvenience paying customers. Just like all DRM.

i did both. the game is ok btw, better than double agent which aint hard. and trying to play it old school with no detection makes it very hard because clearly not intended to do it that way. I still managed to do make it a few maps undetected - except triggered ambushes oc - which brings me to the worst in the game: the last levels where they practically force you to kill everybody. you can still almost kill everybody undetected but only using nades and mines, no escapes and multi-executions possible since you have ~ 12 guys in the same room with you. and a flashback mission looking like COD but playing bad. only 4 levels are really good and provide enough space and stuff to shoot down like chandeliers. those were the most fun. didn't try coop yet. presentation and voice-over is topnotch though.
loved the scene were Sam freaks out in the conference room and got angry vision.

...[Conviction] better than double agent...
They're so different, you just can't compare ... though Conviction does have a more consistent story, and less bugs.

Conviction is what Double Agent should have been. Seriously. I love the first 3 games, and I think Chaos Theory was a high point despite the relative lack of difficulty compared to the first game, but if they wanted to end that arc and try something new this is the way they should have gone, imho.

No, the last-gen version of Double Agent is what Double Agent should have been. If you like Chaos Theory, you'd fucking love it.
