I'm not playing LoL. Well, haven't for ages. Heroes of Newerth surpasses it on too many fronts.

I'd rather play chess. At least then you wouldn't have to put up with the insufferable playerbases that all of the games in this genre seem to be plagued by.

HOPE YOU DIDN'T LIKE THAT ROOK FAGGOT BECAUSE I'M JUST TAKING IT OUT JUST LIKE I TOOK OUT YOUR MOM LAST NIGHT
I once read that in ancient greece namecalling was considered a viable tactic in any discussion, on the grounds that it served to unnerve and confuse the opponent.
It might have been a lie though.

Indeed.

I've just started trying to play this, seems quite fun :) Only played vs bots so far. What are the main differences between HoN and LoL? I have not played any flavour of DotA before. On the EU West server.

Come to #kru on StarChat - there are now 3-4 of us who play it so you can team up every now and then and get tips from the pros (and by that I mean me ). Haven't played HoN though so I can't tell you what the difference is, except that it's not free to play.
Kuuso on 9/7/2011 at 09:46
HoN is not as fast-paced and gank-oriented with more focus on overall strategy. Differences like being able to deny your own creeps (so the enemy doesn't get gold) makes it that.
Nameless Voice on 10/7/2011 at 20:41
You can deny in League of Legends too, by forcing the enemy back so that they can't last-hit, or even far enough away that they don't get XP. It's all about positioning and map control.
Kuuso on 10/7/2011 at 22:01
That's not denying. Denying is killing your own creep to negate most of the exp/gold gain. It creates a completely different laning situations than just simply pushing your enemy out of exp range, which can be done in both games.

LOL is so frustrating but I keep coming back to it.
