Coincidentally, this was uploaded two days ago for the Thief Wiki, Craybeast on the right:
Inline Image:
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/thief/images/2/24/DromEd_Crayman_Craybeast.jpgThe color and lighting of The Maw versus The Lost City could very well have hidden the differences.
The Crayman has a speed setting of Time Warp 1.25, and the Craybeast is set to 1.00. Oddly, the Craybeast has a lower maximum damage dealt. The Craybeast only ever appears in The Maw.
Oh, and the frogbeasts are annoying too, but only when I've hatched them and they aren't going after my target.

I chose the huge Green Spider for the annoying webshots, but none of the creatures are a problem anymore.
I thought red spiders were the ones with webshots. :confused: Green ones never shoot anything in my games.
Treebeasts are annoying, but they don't seem to get used very often, so I probably haven't seen enough of them to be really bothered by them. Ditto for spiderbots. Bugbeasts really... bugged me in T1.

for me, had to be the Kurshoks... but mostly cause of there story. Instead of doing something with one of the percusor races, or cray men, no, they invent this WHOLE new race with such a major part in the storyline really (well, the crown and all).. they just had no depth to them, only appeared that once and stuff.. if more detail was givin to them or there were a different race already commented about in the world of thief, it might have been better of me.. Also, i didn't think much of the Gillman the first time round..
Second had to be the Inmates of the Cradle being called Puppets all the time.. i just hate that term because it's not correct, makes no sense or anything.. but that's probebly just me ^_^;

Yeah, the only thing the Kurshoks needed was a little more backstory to them... It's pretty obvious they had a connection with the Precursor people, probably even being the mentors of that early human civilization - so it's a little disappointing it wasn't hinted at better... But besides this, the Kurshies are my favs from the ranks of the "animal humanoid races" of the Thiefverse. How can you not love upright-walking tailless newts obsessed with bacic mathematics ? :cheeky: ;)

I don't prefer to call them "Puppets" either. It sounds a little more sinister, but that's about it...

Oh, crap... I forgot to add Gammall's Stone Minions from TDS to the poll. :p
Those were pretty annoying too.

I didn't recognize some of the beast names... >< But i kinda hate...what's a Kurshok?? Anyway, i kinda hate that... bugbeast i think. Those annoying shits he shoots and a hard bastab is the only hope of properly making the bastard suffer... also, i can't even move his body.
On the other hand, hammerite haunts are probably my favourites. They are a classic horror, i think.

Kurshoks are the amphibian humanoids from TDS (especially the Sunken Citadel mission).

He (she ?) is probably the most hated of the critters by far... ;)

You know, for some reason, I find the TDP/TMA Haunts to be pretty funny. Yes, funny. Especially when they move and fence absurdly fast, have smiley-looking skulls and do their stereotypical evil cackle. :) The TDS Haunts frightened me a lot more, since their whispers are not only creepy, but uninteligible as well... and they don't laugh - they SHRIEK in the most inhuman ways... That freaked me out during our first encounter. To make things worse, I mistakened the Haunt in the Fort Ironwood catacombs for a regular Hammerite knight and tried to blackjack him... Hilarity ensued... :ebil: :eek: :cheeky:

Interesting... I thought the TDP/TMA haunts were creepy (the laughter in particular), and that the TDS haunts felt much less intimidating in comparison.
