3:52 is my best time on Last Stand. We didn't fucking make it. Three people, one bot. We all died under 4 minutes, the bot lasted 5. I don't know what the fuck happened there.

Speaking of last stand, 11.08 just now. 10.45 on drains. MAN this is intense.

survival feels like a "mod" to me the community would have come up by themselves if they had released the SDK already, goddamn. it reuses old maps except lighthouse and for me it's just a waste. the 2 "new" maps for versus were already accessible over a server plugin. this update is pretty meh. don't like it, won't play it any more. I love L4D but what it needs is new campaigns, not some coffee break respawn-mod.

"coffee-break respawn mod"
mothra, hyperbole only gets you so far and then you start to sound like a douchebag. Just sayin'.

To be fair though, I can see where mothra's coming from. I can't help but feel that their time would have been better spent coming up with new campaigns rather than a game-type which doesn't really have that much life in it.
After playing it briefly on the night of release, I didn't have an urgent desire the next day to leap back in to it. I felt I'd seen all that it had to offer even though I'd only played for half an hour.
And without any end to it, it feels a bit odd in the main game's context. Left 4 Dead is all about escaping by the skin of your teeth and living to fight another day.
Perhaps developing 4 new characters solely for Survival mode would have helped here; you're familiar with Zoe, Bill, Francis & Louis, and your expectations centre around them surviving.
To have them fight endless waves of zombies with no hope for liberation and death an inevitability doesn't suit their story.
I honestly can't see myself playing this new mode much at all, especially with other games begging for more of my attention.

I played with some dumbasses who thought that a great place to defend in Survival is right on top of the gasoline pumps in No Mercy. I've since gone back to playing almost exclusively with people on my friends list.

hahahahahaha
that's great

I've stopped playing with a few friends on my list, simply because they refuse to accept that 1) Their strategies suck and 2) Mine actually work. We got 6 minues on last stand their way, I left and found some newbies and told them what to do, we get 10 minutes!

I have never even played the game, and even I know that is stupid.
