Aside from the fact that I never actually said that, I don't have to take any shit from a guy takes time off from reposting news feeds to call me a "developer apologist" for enjoying a game he professes to like while bashing it for percieved ~*gamebreaking faults*~.
What I said, and what you missed out on 'cuz you can't hear me over your screaming "consolitis" every 5 seconds, was that I do not find playing multiplayer L4D to be at all fun. Maybe I'm just unlucky but every time I join a game in L4D my team is a bunch of dipshits who constantly shoot each other, waste molotovs, and wander off by themselves, then complain when nobody comes to rescue their sorry asses.
And don't get me started on witch hunters. Fuck those assholes. Fuck them to hell.
You know how they say "game experience may change with online play?" Holy fuck they weren't kidding with Left4Dead. So no, I'll take Zombie Panic Source any day, I might have a chance of playing with people who don't have their heads up their asses. Unless some of you guys want to cowboy up and play a campaign or a few rounds of survivor with me.

I'll be playing Saturday evening sometime. You're more than welcome to join up if you want.

I had an extremely fun session with Kroakie last night. More proof that an entire squadron of jets buzzes Dethtoll's house whenever he suggests that L4D is a SP game.
But damn was it a long campaign or what. It just so happened that the entire party is a bunch of really careful players who sneaks everywhere. My butt was sore after the game. Great game though.

Haha, oh yes. :D
(that's a thought: how about a "Quoted Out of Context" thread, in the vein of the Ultima VII/VIII quotes? sounds like fun!)

I take it back, the game is best played with people who are slightly less skilled than you, who all gets incaped at the finale by the Tank, leaving you to take him down single-handedly, revive your one surviving teammate, who then repay the favour when you get knocked down by a Hunter, and finally escape together by the skin of your teeth.
My hands are still shaking.
Sulphur: So start the thread already!

Anyway, the game has been patched with the Crash Course DLC. Impressions are welcome.

"I hate birds."
"(sarcastically) Yeah man, birds are dicks."
Installed L4D just to play this. Pretty fun. Only two maps, but they're very long and the finale is a bit of a twist on the standard finale gameplay in that the power goes out and you must turn it back on while zombies rampage.
Plenty of new dialogue and some of the graffiti in the saferoom had me laughing out loud.
Overall, a great way to blow 45 minutes. It helps that the setting is my favourite in the L4D games- industrial, small-town America, similar to that of Death Toll (which reminded me in some ways of They Hunger.)
A welcome addition to the stock campaigns.
