It's also not a one line quote Einstein, its 2. And on the mobile site its a massive paragraph and chunk of screen real estate.

I am here too atm. Regardless it's a nonsense that seems to have invaded the forums. Worst offenders are like the one above and massive quotes with a "yeah, me too" reply or some other such idiotic few-word reply.

Oh I totally agree. Don't worry, I was mainly just giving you shit.
Although I'll admit that I never thought of mobiles, because I've always quoted smaller posts with little guilt on my conscience.

@SE: Thing is, it's happened often enough that people write a reply without quoting and in the meantime someone else posts, rendering that part of the conversation confusing and people have to read it a couple of times or ask what the post refers to. Personally I find that more annoying than using a quote as I did above (your "worst offender" post), but obviously there are other takes on it. Do you have any suggestions how to avoid what I've just described without annoying you and others?

Happens to me all the time. I just open a new window with the quote button, and paste the quoted text into the post I'd just put up.

What dethtoll said. Don't think it doesn't happen to me too. There are a few posters that do it incessantly, and its usually of the quote massive, reply little type.
Thing is I know of a member who was banned for repeatedly double and triple posting. Each post had different content but he was banned because he wouldn't stop when the mods told him how annoying it was. This is worse.
