So yeah, I haven't managed to actually play L4D2 online yet - did some single-player but didn't want to play online with STRANGERS. If anyone is ever up for a game, let me know (someone offered last year, but I was too busy with college :( ).

I always chuckle a bit when peeps complain about ping in L4D...ask Vernon about my 1000000000 ping games on Adv. Realistic. He lives so far away from me in some strange land WHERE THE WATER IN THE TOILET FLUSH BACKWARDS.
plus i was on AT$T dsl ffs...

I don't really do public games. I mostly play with buddies, and we have a blast.The main thing is to have fun, like last night when I was trashed while playing a versus game.

Playing pub is okay, if you find a decent bunch of guys who are up for a laugh. I find that you'll usually find decent folk in the harder difficulty levels. I tell you what though - squeaky voices on l4d servers... how about them? I know they are more prevalent on css servers etc., but holy hell talk about spoiling the atmosphere. Muting people in L4D isn't possible, until you know how:
1) Open console.
2) Type "voice_show_mute".
3) Find nickname of the person you want to mute.
4) Remember this person's ID.
5) Type "voice_mute X", X is ID of the person.
