What's next, QTE's + Cortana-esque Mission Control in Episode 3?
Yup.
Guys, lets face it - Left4Dead 2 is going to have every horror you can kneejerk think about including acid in your face when you install it. Seriously.
Koki where is my 10 bucks damnit!

posting from shitbag sidekick II on my way to my car so I'll make this quick
2 things: anybody who honestly thinks valve is going to make that 11-17 date is unfamiliar with the concept of Valve time
also, L4D is developed by Valve South, aka Turtle Rock, creators of Counterstrike Condition Zero and CS Source. Completely different studio. Who knows? Maybe Valve time doesn't apply to them. And it's not like they don't already have half their work done already- I imagine their biggest job is creating new characters.

let's wait for the price. I'd love to play new campaigns.

I will say it is very odd that Valve is going to splinter the community with two L4D games in two years. They say they are going to still support L4D with updates etc but I don't know, I think some people are going to be very sore over this. I wonder if there will be some discounted price for L4D owners, I seem to recall Epic did something similar for one of the UT's so it's not unheard of.
Also what the hell is up with the ropey screenshots? Are Valve up to shinnanigins again?

I'm not that big a fan of L4D- it gets old after a while- but hell,
more of it is always better. Especially with the new characters- I love the originals but I don't think I could listen to GRABBIN PEELS one more time

Meh.
They got my money of L4D the first time. Not spending the cash a second time. There simply isn't enough content to be worth $50.

I held out and held out before buying it because I was waiting for the price to drop. Then i gave in because it wasn't dropping.. then i dropped $20 a week later.
I suppose valve south would do things differently than Valve would... but I kind of feel jipped that they didn't give us any new campaigns or any real content updates like they did with TF2.
If making the maps is as easy as they say it is in the commentary because of how the director works.. You'd think it would be easy for them to release a couple more campaigns. I even went for achievements which is something I never do, and it got a little old for me.

Five campaigns, new character interaction, missions that actually change content based on the AI Director, new weapons, new enemies. This is definitely enough new content to warrant a standalone game.

Maybe the L4D maps will work in L4D 2?
