The bots aren't very useful on anything beyond Normal, but that's okay. Because if I wanted to play with a bunch of dumb faggots who shoot each other for killstealing, waste molotovs, wander off by themselves then ragequit when nobody comes to rescue them, and always, always, ALWAYS shoot the witch, then I'd play Left4Dead online.
You know how they say "game experience may change with online play?" Holy fuck they weren't kidding with Left4Dead. So no, I'll take Zombie Panic Source any day, I might have a chance of playing with people who don't have their heads up their asses.

Well that sounds horrible. I must be extremely lucky then, cause everytime i've played for the most part they've been decent teammates. There was one time where a dude was being an ass and we kicked him off.
You know, if you had friends you could play with them online....
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that while "valve time" usually occurs, we can obviously see that with left 4 dead 1 (I was surprised it actually got released when valve said it would) and 2 it's a different story. Which is part of why it's been so shocking to the valve customers that l4d2 has been announced already and will release in november.

I do have friends. They all just either don't have the game, have it on 360, or don't play games. Or in at least two cases they're one of those people who think that if it's not a Japanese RPG it's not worth playing. Which I guess also qualifies as "not a gamer."

The couple of games I've played, I've always been lucky with random groups. There was just one incident where a player was obviously being a complete dick, and that was over in less than a minute. I wonder whether the griefer kiddies mainly played in the 1-2 months after L4D came out and then moved on to newer fare.

Seriously, you would think that Valve was committing war crimes or embezzling funds from charity with all the drama in that video.
I won't say that they're wrong or right to get upset about the whole thing, until I know more about L4D2 specifics (price, etc.). But geez, save the drama for something that actually warrants it.

However, as far as L4D goes I have friends who play, so I mostly just play with them. And, not to rub salt in a wound or anything, but we usually have a blast.

why of it all. I guess I don't get the fervor, I'm just not that emotionally invested in it. :erg:
The play I've already gotten out of L4D, was worth the original cost in my mind (which is not to say I wouldn't like more content).
Also, I can understand being peeved if Valve is reneging on a promise, but there's no guarantee that just because L4D2 is coming out that they won't have new content for the first one. Though, perhaps I am overly optimistic?

I mean, consider who is doing the ranting in that video. I don't suppose you're familiar with that trend, by the way, of using footage from that movie (usually that specific scene, though I have seen one other) where something bad happens and Hitler rants about it, like getting banned from XBL.
