So, since I'm on Christmas vacation and without my powerful gaming rig (just my old laptop), I decided to take a little trip down memory lane.
I'm reinstalling NWN1, all expansions, all premium modules, and the CEP (not sure which module I'm gonna play yet, may just actually finish the OC for once).
While its installing, I decided to try and figure out my build, and hit some indecision. I love almost all the classes (except the druid for some reason), and figured I'd ask you guys a question:
What was your favorite build and why?
Ignoring the classes, I can easily remember my favorite skill in the game: Isaac's Greater Missile Storm, so maybe I'll base mine around that.
Who's up for a bit of nostalgia?

Have you tried the (
http://www.nwnprc.com/news.php) PRC pack? It adds a silly number of extra classes, feats and spells from just about every book of optional rules for 3rd edition D&D. It can be a lot of fun, but be prepared spend an awful lot of time creating a character and levelling up, because there's a silly number of options. Also be aware that not everything is perfectly implemented in it, though for the most part it works as it should; it's probably worth saving before choosing wierd spells at level up and testing them to make sure they work. Also note that some builds are pretty overpowered - I played Hordes of the Underdark with a Wizard/Red Wizard/Lich and it felt a little bit like cheating to be immune to so many effects from being undead.
Generally, I tend to play wizards, and sometimes rogues. I remember the Rogue/Assassin/Shadowdancer build being good fun in NWN1, though use magic device was a must for killing big enemies with true sight or sneak attack immunity.

I actually tend to play Melee classes in single player games and magic oriented classes online. Still, Playing through underdark definitely lead to an overpowered character: Using a Paladin with heavily enchanted armor lead to a character who could cut swaths through most opposition, and was immune or resistant to the worst status effects.

That is a lot of extra classes. I think I might pass, lest I want to spend the rest of my vacation just figuring out a character build.

Paladin's are enjoyable, but if I were to try and play one, I'd have to do Shadows of Undrentide. I can't walk away from the Holy Avenger with any pally. Thought they are pretty unstoppable once you get it....

Clerics are my favourite overall class in NWN. Very powerful too, particularly once spells like Harm and Summon Balor become available.
Interestingly enough I just happened to reinstall NWN a couple of days ago as I picked it up for next to nix on one of GOG's recent sales.

Thats how I ended up with a Pally in HotU, imported my one from undrentide. He still tore the place up, even more so once I got the original Holy Avenger heavily enchanted.

Hey, if any of you people want to have some fun modding NWN instead of just playing it, I'm putting up a help wanted sign for anyone interesting in doing a bit of scripting.
I've got Judith from the T3 forums helping me out, and we've been plugging away at making tiles. Though without a scripter, the end result will only ever be a tileset, and not a full on adventure.

I can't remember what character I played when I did the single player campaign but I remember having to save a female knight or paladin who was under some sort of Mind Control spell near the end.
Anyway, I loved the soundtrack to NWN. The instruction book was pretty nice as well. You could see the effort put into it.

That character was the
"bastila"/traitor character of the original campaign
