Regardless of the values involved, I think there's a big difference between awarding a prize after the fact based on community votes and awarding a cash incentive up front based on crowd funding.

I'd kill this thread soon if it were possible. Now-a-days you can't even express an inspiring sentiment without a citation.
We are really lucky to have full access to the Dark Engine with it's non-proprietary updates and the Eidos/TTLG character cannons with free reign.

We shouldn't even be discussing what if's, how come's or why not's.

Wise words, I understand the humor in some of the remarks-but it would really suck to get our editing guild shut down because someone crossed the line and some lawyers got involved.

This community is so small though, I can't see Eidos ever caring. Especially with a game that's getting close to 20 years old. They have bigger fish to fry I'm sure.

I understand the concern. Sly's bizarre desire for a lamborghini - and green at that - could be a serious breach of the Good Taste law. We just need to encourage him to think of something with a little more class.
Seriously though, anyone with any common sense whatsoever would see this as either a simple wish to encourage/support more mission production or a way to say thank you to those who spend precious spare time in developing something tasty for us vultures. Should anyone be so lacking in intelligence as to see this thread as anything else and attempt to shut anything down, I hereby pledge the sale of my very old Focus to fight it.
