I hope no one minds if I engage in a little thread necromancy! 8 years and 2 weeks after the last post, I decided to dig this thread up and post again.
Back in 2004, I started making a LEGO-animated Thief movie (see the beginning of this thread). After various stops and start, I finally came up with an ending in 2007, but I felt like I wanted to do more with it.
This thing has popped up (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109518) many times in the ttlg forums, sometimes with short clips that someone else uploaded to youtube.
Now the year is 2013 and sterlino posted one of those clips to the official EM Thief forums a few days ago, reminding me that I should dust this thing off. I found all of the original files on an external HD in my closet and watched the final version from 2007. I decided it's pretty good the way it is. I don't care if it doesn't have a title screen or a briefing or anything like that. I just want to share it.
So, without further adieu, here it is. The full 6-minute version of Thief: The Brick Project!

Edit: Oh, and if anyone is interested, my LEGO-building skills have improved a lot since I made this. See (

It's about damned time, taffer! (Congrats! :D ) The nagging may never end, though, hahahaha!

Thanks for being patient. I'm glad you don't need to worry about codecs this time. It's crazy, Youtube didn't exist yet when I started this project!

Wow! That's a cool bit of trivia, right there. Well, now the next time someone digs up an old thread, we can link 'em to the finished product. Man, just having it finally completed's gotta feel good.

Hey, Garrett looks almost adorable from down there. :laff: I love the guards' movements; they really capture the original motions.

That was the best movie I've seen this year so far and I mean it. It's brilliant. Absolutely gorgeous lightning too :cheeky: !

Here's one more thing. I remembered that I had some footage that would have been used during narration from the Bafford's Manor briefing. I never finished it, so it doesn't have sound. Enjoy!
