Another thing that I've been doing and enjoying is playing by mission author. Just the other day I "discovered" Intruder, and as I wrote in a review of one of their missions, it is an author that really stands out not because of any mission of master quality, but by the sum of them. They are all worth your time, but none stand out further than a well earned "8". But what makes them special is that they are the best at redoing an incredibly but improved original aesthetic of Thief and Thief 2 while also maintaining a personal and recognizable voice. Their "Return to the Lost City" is the epithome but they all are like this.

So yeah, if you don't know what to play, maybe check out lesser known FMs from authors you've enjoyed.

I also loved the Bracelet of Melody (especially using Fortuni's map)

I went and downloaded all of Cardia's missions and there is some amazing stuff. FTM Life, for example, is definitely one of the most unusual (it's not really a Thief FM) but impressive, nonetheless. It's amazing to see things like Monster energy drinks in the engine.

Two intentionally bad, yet enjoyable missions from the (https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1547048a) Total Crap Contest 2007: (https://www.thiefguild.com/fanmissions/2215/quamtotius-purgamentum) Quamtotius Purgamentum and (https://www.thiefguild.com/fanmissions/367/incubus) Incubus. The same contest also had (https://www.thiefguild.com/fanmissions/2523/kill-factory) Kill Factory, which is quirky and refreshingly different from normal Thief fan missions.

i feel every thief 1/g/2 fan mission is worth playing at least 3-5+ times each

not a fan of pitchblack maps where you have to use limited time flares for entire mission
