See, now this is what really annoys me when people edit their posts from several days ago. All posts since that one are thrown completely out of context. There really should be a time limit on editing posts. /vent. Anyway, that's a topic for another forum.
Anyway, at least part of the press release was posted back on page 5 of this thread, I know because I replied to it. And, the Gamespot press release has the same exact date as the post I referred to. So there you have it.
But the real point is, these guys at Majestic are lying, cheating, lowlife bastards, right? ;)
Goldmoon - Wow that is just wrong, with a captal W. They are no doubt trying to cash in on all the recent attention to the game.

This thing is just outrageous, yet so sad.
Watching the (
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pCYEQC4sPiA) Bonus DVD 3 (part 2) with the 'screenshot gallery' after seeing the rest of the stuff just made me want to sigh my lungs out. I mean for crying out loud: they didn't even bother remodelling the main villains, they just stole them from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. There's actually one model there that resembles one of the main characters, a nosferatu named Bertram Tung, whose head was just streched around and his earring removed, and voilá: there you have it!

This whole project seems like a poor scheme to come up with some cash, they're like some petty criminals who had a dream to become millionaires, and they just took the wrong path in the age of the internet.

Everything just sort of fizzled out. Then one day I was working in a pub and Tim and Steve walked in.
"I joked 'I thought you would be millionaires now', and they replied 'actually that is what we wanted to talk to you about'.
Fuckin' a. :nono:

Maybe this is just me, but the fact that they stole so much from so many sources is kinda mind boggling. Did they actually sit down and say: "we need this kind of picture, go find a game that has one and copy/paste it." ?

I think at a certain point, why bother with the "go find a game that..."?
It's just "Find me an X", then they reach for the game pile.
And judging by their original 1990 concept art (which stole from D&D art), that point was at the very start.
It was pathological from the beginning.
Reminds me of those reporters that just compulsively invent quotes and news stories ... It's just a pathological need to get away with cheating the system.

Epic Fail. Nothing more needs to be said at this juncture. That, and I can't wait for the damned field day the lawyers are gonna have with these pricks! :cheeky:

Yup, and to think that the game is *still* for sale! :laff:

What an outrage! Unbelievable! It's one thing to steal screenshots from a game, but it's another to start stealing sounds and other assets from another game. I watched that youtube video and it's got Thief sounds. I couldn't believe it!
I just watched the video (
