It pisses me off and leaves me with a real sick feeling in my stomach. It's just disgusting. What really makes me mad is that there are groups like ours who have gone out of our way to create all original material. Those three guys were just a bunch of lazy SOB's.

Hmmm... if it weren't for Deadly Shadows though, Thief would not have been included.
Audio assets in the trailer. Just let it run for 30 seconds.

Damn, The Magpie. Thank you, until now I wasn't able to see that damn trailer for a variety of reasons. Now I feel sick. Obviously they knew it wasn't gonna be small time, but I think they were actually serious! I agree with the earlier comment that their response in most anticipated. Should be quite entertaining. :ebil: What a strange event.

I should be laughing but for some reason I feel too sorry for them.
Does Bethesda really need to sue them? And all those other major devs? They're already a laughing stock, now they'll be jailed and unbelievably poor.

I guess there is a fine line between genius and insanity.

Generally you don't sue unless the person you're suing has money. The sue doesn't happen so that the offender is taken to court and sees justice served. It's all about the settlement. In many cases, the party that is actually being sued is the insurance company, because that's where the money is. I doubt an insurance company would be involved here. Game developers aren't professionals who need insurance against claims or lawsuits. If anyone gets sued it will be the publisher, if they even have any money themselves. As the cliche goes, "This will never get to court."

There's no need. They
knew that they were passing other peoples' work off as their own in order to make money, and they did not have to. They also
knew that being caught would cause problems for their publisher, which could also have a knock-on effect on other developers if the publisher was given a stiff penalty. They could have told the publisher that they had the plot but they didn't have anyone to work on the graphical side of things. I'm sure the publisher could have recommended someone.
They
knew the consequences of being caught, and judging by their feeble attempt to disguise their plagiarism, clearly they accepted the risk.
