Plus, the level of interactivity per spatial section (street, quadrangle etc.) in TDS was much higher than in the Ambush!, Partytime or Assassins where you have mostly plain façades. The TDS City maps weren't big (at least after they had to be cut down according to Krypt) but they were far more vivid. I'm not sure if everyone has used the roof top entrance to the inn in Old Quarter or found the attic hide-out in South Quarter or disposed the dead body from the 2nd floor of the inn in the Docks.
I'm not sure whether to be pro or contra City hubs. Large maps are cool but lack focus and take away the City mystery, which is why I wonder – as mentioned before – why people complain about TDS City maps being so small AND taking away the enigma. I wouldn't mind if the fence and stealing things were implemented in some usual missions like in Assassins or Partytime. On the other hand, any big open map would already be quite close to a hub.

I liked the city in TDS for maybe half the game, till I'd seen it all, then it bored me and it felt like it got in the way. I wanted to go everywhere, but even then I know I'd just find it a distraction by the end.
On balance, I think I like the structure of TDA TMA. But I to contradict myself, I want to explore and blank facades annoy me!!
I think "Life of the Party" got it right.
The danger is it all becomes a vast sprawling spread of mostly nothing, like Morrowind, which while sort of fun (the game not the maps) really, really bored me by the end, to the extent I put it down for 6 months. (which doesn't say much for the the game)
