Hi! I'm currently very interested in reverse engineering the code of games. Since Thief is one of my favourite games I wanted to see what information I can get out of the Thief executables. Since I haven't found what I was looking for I'm now trying to assemble a list of all versions of the Thief 1/G/2 EXE files.
For those having to do with similar stuff, I'm looking for EXE files which have debug information in them.
For now I'm interested the most in very large EXE files (if they exist). I have the German Thief version and my normal EXE is 244 KB. Additionally, I have a NoCD EXE that was unpacked which is 2.53 MB big. But are there any Thief EXE files which are bigger, let's say 3 MB and more? I would be interested, too, in those from demos, beta versions, etc...
I just found out that the DROMED.EXE from (
http://www.thief-thecircle.com/media/patches/) here is such a file with debug information.
Thanks for your help.
edit:
Maybe such an EXE file from System Shock 2 would be interesting, too, as it uses the same engine.

Why not try talking with Volca? He's currently working on the Open Dark Engine Project.
There were a few different versions of Thief The Dark Project 1.14, 1.33, and 1.37.
(1.37 was the Thief Gold version.)
Thief II had 1.07 and 1.18
I don't know what versions of dromed1 or dromed2 there are, or of System Shock 2 or Shocked.
Who knows if any of the different language releases of Thief had different executables...

Good idea, done. :)
Well, as I said, if anyone has an EXE file which is bigger than the usual EXEs, then please write it here.
