What? The criminals just parked it outside on their driveway right next to their getaway vehicle? That doesn't seem likely, as the cops wouldn't need finger prints to know who the guilty party was.
Congrats on getting it back, and good call getting it a bit more security.
No, it was parked up next to the get away vehichle, in a small carpark that have some council garages - its out of the way and you wouldnt know it was there unless you lived locally. And after speaking to some of the locals, I know it was them or someone connected to them.
But if they try it again the locks ive now got on there will slow them downlong enough for me to get down there and break thier f***ing fingers, legs and anything else the baseball bat lands on....:ebil:

Amateurs...
They should have gone directly to a good fence like Cutty once they got the bike.
And they should also have used the right road to run, the thieves hightway.
They even had to smash panels to make the bike run. Not even lockpicks to start the engine ? Meh.

Talking about lousy thieves ? :cheeky:
Some years ago, I had my work computer stolen (along with printer, scanner, webcam...) from my local work place.
Someone saw them buried the stuff under a bridge ; one week later, the policemen found the computer in a plastic bag wound up in a plaid.
Amazing thing is the PC's still working like a charm ! I mean I live in the rainy part of France where moisture is everywhere.
They were young thieves, specialized in small motorcycles stealing.
... The "Gendarmerie" (French policemen) found buried motorcycles too in the local area. :laff:

Sorry to hear about your bike Biker but glad you got it back. And not TOO much the worse for wear. I have a stupid thief story too. A couple of years ago my car was stolen while it was parked in the lot at an electronics store. The car was found the next day and when I got it back it was in perfect condition except that the stereo had been stolen. The thieves didn't want the car, just the stereo so they drove it about a mile away from where they stole it, stripped the stereo and just left it parked on the street. There was no other damage to the car, not even the iginition switch. Everything was fine and they didn't rip the stereo out, they took it out very neatly, not breaking anything. The really funny part is that the reason I was at that electronics store in the first place was to buy a new stereo for the car because it was broken. :laff:

Wow... if i were to stole something, i would atleast prepare a quick plan for it and not do such stupid thigs.
Even though society is messed up, i guess you can sometimes laugh about it.
May your bike get well soon, bikerdude!
P.S. Now i see why your nick is bikerdude. ;)

I would be SO pissed off if my motorcycle got stolen. I've been told by people that I should put a lock on it but it weighs 450 lbs so I havn't bothered. I live within walking distance of my school and occasionally take the bike.
Once I left it there and walked back to my apartment. The next morning I walked out side and saw the missing spot and felt absolutly sickened and nearly had a panic attack. Can't imagine the feeling lasting more than a few second:o

Without your cycle, would you simply become - "'Dude" ?
