You're right, but allied assault and its expansions were the only ones for PC up to that point.
I guess I just assumed that the others were crap and didn't count (I did play the PS version and it was awful)

MoH: Frontline reviewed VERY well. It hasn't aged particularly well, though. I played it again a few months ago. That said, the Normandy scene is still really intense.

I played through Allied Assault for the first time last year. I had a hard time seeing why it received such rave reviews. Sure, you had a small handful of exciting levels like the Omaha Beach landing, but there were too many dull levels where you're a spy for the OSA with optional stealth mechanics, or aiding the French resistance as a one-man army. You played through the entire campaign as the same guy, a sort of jack all trades, it didn't make much sense.
The expansion Spearhead was far, far better, TBH. All killer, no filler. Breakthrough was poorly designed rubbish though.

Call of Duty still looks amazing imho, sometimes I prefer the clean look of older games over all that technical wizardy. Still think NOLF is one of the bestlooking games ever, nice, clean, colorful.
