This broken home, domestic violence stuff really is comedy gold.

Where would internet comedy be without the poor? I daren't imagine.
Anyway
I'm sure the list of people who have expired playing it is fairly lengthy. This is the first shooting I'm aware of. But, yes; bad taste and all that.

The thing is, WoW receives so much spite from people because people become addicted to it and die or go to jail because of it, but I just don't get it. Why is it that people can't see: it's not the fault of the game, it's the fault of the
person. Maybe that's an insensitive thing to say in light of what happened to these people, but it's the truth. If you get so addicted to a game that you do something stupid, it's
your own fault. Stop blaming others for your stupid mistakes.
You're right that saying it's 'because of WoW' is a pretty stupid way to look at it, but I don't think you get how addiction works.

The fact that the guy was drinking at the time obviously had nothing to do with any of this.

Who knows... maybe he had to drink while playing to forget how bad his character was.

I'm sure his addiction (and drinking) fueled his response, but he's the one who is responsible for getting himself addicted in the first place. He should have been more careful with his habits and more aware of how he was spending his time.
IF he was addicted. Admittedly, it's possible that he wasn't, and his drinking was wholly responsible for his actions.
