"Ye Olde Big Screen Telly"
SALT LAKE CITY is calling london a bunch of olde worlde rubes? FUCK OFF AMERICA. We've got simmering social tensions and a massive wealth, education and prospects gap that literally set fire to an entire street about a mile away from my house. The peacocks at the top of my road got ramraided! THE PEACOCKS. Do you have any idea of how fucking desperate that is? And now salt lake city feels the need to suggest we're some kind of pastoral bumpkin nest. Go fuck your step-daughters, mormons.
Newspaper cartoonists like to play on stereotypes for satirical purposes; I don't think they meant to offend Britain with that cartoon - in fact much the opposite, they're showing that ultimately US capitalist fat cats are no better than the delinquents who vandalize and rob stores. I was actually pleasantly surprised that the cartoon came from a Salt Lake City newspaper, given that Utah is an ultra conservative state.

Sigh, stick to your silly populist ideas.
EVERYONE knows that the financial crisis was caused by risky investments, and not any fraud, regulatory capture or deliberate mismanagement designed to enrich the executives.
Why on earth would you believe the senate committee, the IMF, Elliot Spitzer's investigation team, and the FBI when the Bank's finest CEO's, lawyers, and PR officials have assured us that they just made an honest error in judgement?
The financial crisis was made worse by the fact that in America the richer you are, the less taxes you pay (if I'm not mistaken, the biggest mega companies actually pay no taxes whatsoever).
Additionally, in America you see injustices like this:

I know, I was being sarcastic.
Then after they're done looting, they have the gall to whine about how everyone's out there who's mad about the fraud is just ignorant and we're persecuting these poor rich people for no reason:

Don't you know? In this modern world of ours being poor is like a disease, everyone avoids poor people like they were evil or contagious (maybe some might be but hey), when actually it is ourselves that have become cold and with stone hearts.

Well, there's been several studies done which indicate that the more money you have, the less capacity you have to feel empathy.

Which studies. Come on...
