Unfortunately for you the law states that the police cannot use lethal force unless they think there is a threat to life. How does someone sitting in a car pose a risk to life? And furthermore how did they know he had a gun until they had killed him? So yeah, arrest him for carrying a weapon and sentence him if he is guilty of that crime but don't even hint at what happened was in any form 'justice.'

Maybe you should come back when the facts of the matter have actually been established?
Either way, the man isn't in the same league of innocent as Menezes.

Total and utter steaming bollocks.
This is opportunist looting because now they've seen the police won't really do anything. It's been brewing for years. The combination of social welfare creating losers and liberal leftie approach to policing (in some areas, it's positively draconian in others) has created an untouchable mass who don't give a crap anyway.
I am not saying that the sosioeconomic situation and politics excuses these mongrels for their stupidity concerning the looting and destruction, but it is clearly see where it stems from. The plummeting that UK has taken down the shitter since we came on this side of the millenia is what made these people like they are and that's the politicians fault.
Now criminals and gangs are taking advantage of the chaos and riding on the wave of hatred towards the UK police, who have acted actrociously for ages. The idiotic excuses, misuses of force in peaceful protests (not meaning current one) and 333 deaths in custody since 1998 without a single police investigation are all part of the equation. All above else, not giving enough basic information to the public concerning these things is concerning.
Then again, it has turned out that Mark Duggan (the man shot on thursday, who was the "cause" of all this) didn't shoot his gun at all and the police shot twice. Also it's a bullet from a police gun that shattered the police radio (it was said that he shot the police in his radio, which stopped the bullet, which is fucking ridiculous since radios like that don't stop bullets and even if it had, it would have shot shrapnels, or at least bruise him hard, into the police officer, who came out unharmed). Meaning that our "low-life scum" didn't shoot the police in his radio, it was the police themselves. No wonder they didn't spill any info on this to the public.

And liberal policing does not exist in the UK. Look how many people have been killed in the North of Ireland because of plastic bullets and the police in London are now armed with them as we speak.
1. The fuck?
2. The fuck?
3. Please do not get me started on this.

Oh, you're right. That special law of physics that stops you pulling a trigger because you're a car. Of course!

They were tracking him as part of Operation Trident. If you don't know what that is, especially after the amount of stupid you've posted, then you should stab yourself in the face right now.

But the rioters have not stated that they have a cause. A few have spouted some random crap but there is no voice of consensus amongst them, no rallying cry. The way this started was just bad luck and after the first bunch went on the rampage other twits saw how easy it is to get away with it, at least temporarily. These aren't people who are capable of planning for the future after all.
I'd have a lot more sympathy for this pov if the rioters had stated as much, but watch any of the videos out there. This is just looting for fun.

Not this shit again. Do the police have to wait until one of them is shot before they can open fire? If he had a gun and pointed it at them, or stated that he was going to shoot, or even acted like he was about to shoot they would have grounds to open fire.
ffs

I don't suppose there are many philosophers among them either. None of that alters the fact that they're disaffected kids who do not have a stake in not torching cars, burning buildings to the ground or looting for luxury goods.

The man was denied two rights that you vigilantes should acknowledge. He is innocent until proven guilty and he has also been denied a fair trial.
And Matthew, it's nice to see you so level headed in your approach.

Are you actually capable of reading and taking things in? This last post of yours has to be, hands down, the stupidest thing I've seen on TTLG in 10 years.

I'm sorry you're absolutely right, right about everything. And by personalizing the argument you've strengthened your point of view and completely discredited all others.
