I always call my first save "SG1". Cause I got a KERAAAAAAZY IMAGINATION.

If I can name them, then the first ones always called "Alucard" (my favorite game character of all time) then "Just incase" then "Just incase 2" etc etc.

In System Shock, I name my savegames using the digits for the reactor destruct code as I discover them. And in any game, I always use a rolling three savegame system, where I keep overwriting the oldest one of the three.

Oh, whenever I start a new fortress in Dwarf Fortress, I always give my starting seven dwarves the nicknames Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
And they always get extra special quarters.

I'm a terrible role-player. In RPGs I always play as "myself", and every time I end up playing the good guy, because I worry about hurting the feelings of the NPCs. True story.
In games where a stealthy/non-lethal approach is available, I always choose that approach. I tried re-playing Dishonored as a mass murderer and it actually felt much more fun than the stealthy way, but it also felt somehow wrong. It doesn't matter in games where the non-lethal way isn't possible, so it's not a game-breaker for me... as long as I don't have to kill dogs.
My gaming backlog will always keep growing, because I spend so much time on one game at a time. I always have to explore absolutely everything in the game world, and I'm not satisfied until I've finished every single side quest that the game has to offer. I'd love it if I could just breeze through most games, and only spend more time on the very best ones.

Whilst I do play as myself mostly, I do go in with a "mercenary" style. So I'll go for the extra loot over the nice guy response. If the game has you playing as a mercenary (eg Shadowrun) then I roleplay that. If my job is to go kill some guy, and then I get there and the guy offers me extra cash to run off. Hell no. You do the job, or the client will get pissed and send a hit squad after you (that actually happens in Dragonfall if you do that). So thats roleplaying as a mercenary. Nice guys finish last or in the ground in those jobs. Plus no'one would employee a merc whose known to bail on his mission.
That said, if I discover that my employer is a bunch of evil people then I may turn on them. Depends on the mission and circumstance. Generally though I stick to the job.

As someone who also has this habit, do not do this in a Baldur's Gate game unless you want to cry. :)

Stealthing my way through a game on the first run, try going Rambo in the second, like in Deus ex, or full chaotic in Dishonored, yet I still end up going stealth/non-lethal, mostly good guy. (I reloaded a save from hours beforehand because I forgot to rescue Griff when I was in the area first time, a largely irrelevant npc)
In games with light/dark path (no stealth mechanics), KOTOR/Mass Effect etc, I'll do the first playthrough as a male lightside/paragon and second playthrough as female darkside/rogue, every time. I suspect this is very common.
On console I'd have played in what I'd call s**t hit the fan mode, were I'd play stealthy and if I made a mistake, just suck it up and deal with it; best example would be Hitman 2 or Tenchu 2; led to some really tense and rewarding gameplay moments. Now though since I got into PC gaming I find it way too hard to resist quick-loading for a closer to perfect stealth run, which is satisfying, but not nearly as much.

Here's another one that I suspect is quite common, tho it hasn't been mentioned yet. I sometimes quote lines from movies or songs to myself at certain points in games. Like if I just barely squeeze past a yellow light in American Truck Simulator I'll say "The light was yellow, sir." Ya know, just like Elwood in that one scene in Blues Brothers.
Recently I've been playing Sniper Elite 4 and singing a lot of (
