Hello guys, I've been getting very aggravated trying to find a repeating texture for the exterior of the Chateau I'm building (see photo below), that matches.
I'm not being too precious either, about any of my textures, but out of all the free places, and some paysite, I can't get a match. I also do google image search with the minus symbol (-) for most stock places I cannot afford, but I don't know what this brick type is called. I only find sandstone, which the wrong color, or something too grayscale. I've searched and got close by adding "medieval block" or "chateau block" not not close enough. And also it can't be ultra noticeably repeating (like even though it's 512px the original artist repeated tiles within it like 256px). It can be somewhat cheaply repeating because I'm going to make unique 2048px textures form it, and brushing out the most repeating features.
It doesn't need to be scuffed or dirty, I can blend that in later using said texture as a base. In fact I am making several zones, and for big defects in the stone I'll do decals. I have enough source photos but sadly I cannot make repeating textures very well, unless the source is too fine in points to notice.
Any help would be awesome, if you guys have other sites or even have something close to this; that enable-like flat banana yellow, the more weathered the better, to save on editing. Or even tan could work if the brick arrangement is right. I'd also take a keyword if someone knows what this style was called.
Thank you!

Can you take a picture of the bricks or is the chateau too far away? I thought Dave Guerra had some similar to the brick in your picture.

I'm in Oregon, fellow US citizen. But I have tones of high rez photos, I just suck at making tiling textures from photos, unless it's so poitalized you can't notice I use the clone tool. Who's Dave Guerra?
PS. I used to work in Plantersville TX and Waxahachie TX, guess why :cheeky:

Ah thank you, but this is what I meant by far too noticeably repeating. I would have to tile out a lot then go and manually edit each brick to make it look different.

That's one of my spots for sure. I couldn't make them work, the wrong color and, colorizing them looked wrong. 0312 is actually one I was going to settle on if I absolutely couldn't find the right blocks. Thank you.

Well the only things that are unusually common between the two places are the Texas Renaissance Festival and the Scarborough Renaissance Festival. I'm guessing you were associated with a group that performed at both events? :D

Bingo! I grew up working these faires. I left at 19, when I installed a thief demo, and was like, oh hello home. I used to sneak around at night with other people to see if we wouldn't be seen. Back then most people lived in their booth during the week.
