Heya, as it happens, I recently got back to playing Thief 2 after trying the new one, it's surprising how well the game has aged in comparison to many new titles.
At any rate, I'm trying to look for a FM. I think you started out in a Hammer Prison in it (not sure), the undead sort of invade the whole place, and you need to get out, I think you pop out outside through some warehouse building. When you're out, the buildings around you are on fire, and you can hear and see some people trying to get out at some spot and you can peek at the zombies coming for them through the windows.
Sorry I can't provide any more details, but that's about as much as I remember. Internet cookies to anyone who manages to find me this one for me!

Hmm your description reminds me of something but... are you sure it's not a Dark Mod mission?

The first mission is called A Rift in the Loot - that's probably why.
