I've recently experienced a renewed interest in online gaming and am trying to find or create parties/guilds in any of the following games:
* Dungeons and Dragons Online
* Age of Conan
* Warhammer: Age of Reckoning
* Lord of the Rings Online
* Left 4 Dead
I've tried DDO, LotRO, and WAR as a soliton and had a good time, but you really need a group to run with or you miss out on most of the good content. Because I didn't want to join with the power gamers and the munchkins it made it hard to really get into these. I've only recently started playing AoC and so far it seems like Funcom has managed to overcome the infamously bad launch and make the game into something playable. L4D is a multiplayer game, period, and I don't want to try to find a pick-up group that doesn't consist of the usual FPS (fucking prick squad) types.
Alternately, if someone can recommend some other online games or is trying to get his or her own group started, I'd be up for that, too. I'm looking for something that is an enjoyable social experience as much as a good gaming experience.
Any takers?

Where are you based LOTRO-wise, oudeis? I'm in a decent little kin that doesn't stress the whole radiance-chasing power raiding too much, but we're on the Euro servers so that may not suit you.

I just came back to AoC last week to give it another two-month shot, but I'm on the EU side of the fence, and I take it from Matthew's post above that you're US.

I'm up for L4D, if you're on at a reasonable hour and send invites when you actually have a game up instead of right when you boot up the game like some people *cough*MrWynd*cough*.

I'm happy to play a round of TF2 with anyone, except I'm not on Steam much so just send me a PM letting me know when you'd like to play.

I'm in the Mountain Time Zone in the US (GMT -6), but I keep odd hours so I'm up for rolling on a Euro-server.
As for L4D, I want to emphasize that not only have I not played the game even once despited owning it for several months, but I'm really not good at shooters. Hopefully it's only due to lack of practice, but...

If changing to EU servers is an option, I've applied to an AoC guild just recently and if I get in I should have a pretty good impression on them in a week or two, tops. I'll let you know if it's something worth checking out.
