Hey guys, I used to frequent this board a
long time ago (and am very glad to see it is still around and that there are some familiar nicknames still around). Back in the day, there was this chap known pseudonymously as Para?noid, musically as Devon, and informally as Nick something. He made some pretty neat music if I recall correctly and the other day I was doing in depth googling in an attempt to find and download his album known as "Barrow Wight EP". I only found (
http://9217.wallywashis.name/mp3/Devon/Barrow+Wight/) one place where it was "downloadable" but after allowing me to download the first track without problem (except I've just checked and it was actually just a 2.4kb html file) it proceeded to insist on me signing up to download the rest (which would involve using a credit card)... Also a second option included downloading an alternative .rar program which seemed a little dodgy. Essentially, does anyone have the album they could upload/know of somewhere that still hosts the file. I'd be very grateful.
Happy Holidays/Hanukkah/Merry Christmas/Sensational Solstice!

Good question. I wonder too.
I just like how you said his real name, of all things, was the informal one.

I really like his stuff and I have all of it. That EP is the best one imho.
It's on a hard drive that a. Isn't in my machine atm and b. Is 3 hours drive from here.
I'm also not going back there until 29th Dec at the earliest, so it'll probably be New Years for an upload. You'll get it though, of never deny anyone access to Noids musics.

Great, cheers! No worries about the wait, I've been looking for it for a month or so on and off anyway. Incidentally, while trawling the boards here, I noticed another post by Mr. Noid about another album released in 2006 where he had changed his name to Endlessly. Presumably you have this one too? I also accidentally restumbled upon Onionbob's work too in the process, which is likewise pretty good.

I'm fairly sure that I've still got the EP somewhere as well, but just like SubjEff, I won't be able to send it until next week because I'm not at home at the moment. But just in case no one else is able to help you and I forget all about this, drop me a message or something later and I'll send you the files.
Can't remember ever hearing anything else by Noid though, so I can't help you with the album, sorry.

On my mobile only at the moment. Is that him singing Heroes?

I have the endlessly EP, and it is easily one of my favourite ambient albums, so atmospheric. I pestered him to release it physically, but he never did, which is a shame. I'd be happy to send it to you. Just PM me with your email address :)

If people get all the Noid stuff to me I'll gladly host it on one of my domains. I've been meaning to put up some of his stuff anyway, but I'd really like his permission if anyone knows how to contact him.

Wow... well, I've just found a whole stash of Noid's works on (
http://albin.abo.fi/user/shoglund/stuff/Music/Noid/) this website, in addition to those of his previous band and some of Onionbob's too. So... thanks very much for the promise of help, perhaps you can reupload these to a mirror if you like? Anyway, enjoy what is on the site!
