Have you thought about playing all T2 city missions again until you find it? I think there's a post in a thread that lists all city missions. Also, did you play it when it was first released? That might help narrow it down since the descriptions that you gave fit a lot of city or rooftop missions to be honest.

Hello!
I'm looking for a FM that is set in a mansion (with some castle elements) with very dark bricks from the outside. As far as I can remember you can walk around the mansion almost entirely and there's a small shed and even an abandoned (?) servant living quarters building (?)
Towards the end you can open a portal of some sorts in a big fireplace with an evil stoneface above it.
I think that I remember walking around that mansion gathering some objects to open the portal.
For a long time I thought this was Transitions in Chaos Conspiracies in the Dark, started that mission today and I was wrong. It's similar in looks in some areas but the mansion is way smaller.
Does anyone know which mission I'm talking about?
Thank you guys!

Yes! Never would have guessed this one myself, thank you so much! Also could habe sworn the mission had to have been released more recent and not all the way back in 2005.
Thanks again and habe a good one!

Looking to replay some FMs of times past and there's one I simply can't locate. All I remember is that the mission (or set of missions?) takes place in a city (with a port, I think?) where all seems well. The mission takes you into caves, or mines, or something, and then back to the same city which is now overrun by freakish monsters. So in a way like the first few Black Frog missions but still not. Not much of a description perhaps.... But I just can't recall which FM this is.

Looking for one. I think it was for Thief 2 and was released in the first few years of the fan missions ie from about 2000-2005 or so. All I remember is that you spent the early part in a fairly linear path outdoors up to the main part of the mission, and there was a building along the path that had a lute in it, which if you clicked on would play a short audio clip of lute music.
So I believe it was Thief 2 (but might be Thief 1) And it was an early mission, ad it had a clickable lute. That's all I'm afraid!
(Edit)
SOLVED! Unless anyone wants to try to remember the mission on their own, it's "A Night's Stroll" Part of the Lord Asthton series
