I have to say I have special fondness for Broderbund. Their Carmen Sandiego series was pretty much the first PC game I ever played in any real way (I fooled around a bit with Wolfenstein 3D and Doom, but my parents would never let me play them for an extended period of time).

Also, what about Infocom? I still think some of their text adventures are among the best games I've ever played - and they also taught me to spell. :thumb:

Yes, Broderbund's Carmen Sandiego stuff was awesome. I will always remember Infocom for confusing the heck out of me when I was younger. I didn't have the brainpower to work through those games back then; now, I could probably give them a fair shake (too bad I have no idea where they are :()
Speaking of Broderbund, you have to mention one of its greatest achievements: Myst. And you can't mention Myst without mentioning the other great hand in it, Cyan Worlds, which was almost down, but seems to be clinging to life still.

CD are still around, he's just in denial because they pretty much work exclusively on Tomb Raider in recent years. This is fine since the Crystal Dynamics TR's are the best that have ever been.
