CoK: Frankly, I have better things to spend my somewhat limited income on than a book about a deceased gaming company.
I'm sure there are quite a few people who feel the same.

Somebody was (independently) talking about it again not too long ago, in reference to the book on the inside story & history of id Studios that came out, they said they wanted to do a book like that for Looking Glass. I can't remember the details though. They deserve it, no doubt.

My heart jumped when I saw this topic, then I realized it was from 2002 :(

It hasn't died, it's just a very detailed account

Surprised I missed this thread way back when. I would love such a thing, especially if it had a lot of interviews and personal anecdotes. Nobody has done a compilation of all the interviews and what not by ex-LGS'ers have they?

This would've been really helpful these days. :sly:
That is, if the author would've done a bang-up job. Boo to everyone who voted no for this or abstained. Ya didn't have to buy it to get it made, and certainly it would've sold enough copies after the fact, and yer not even here to hear me, quitters (damned Real Life). I don't know if there would've been the right number of votes if everyone who saw this voted for it, and I also don't know why it wasn't shared around the other forums, too.
I wish the author would step forward or try again, or someone else fill in. Looking Glass Studios' historical importance and uniqueness could make for a University textbook, required reading, for crying out loud. :laff: The devs could do one last set of interviews and finally be done with being reminded too much about that bittersweet past, or go the other way and do keynotes for $4000 minimum, heh heh.
Yeah, another necro-thread...
